Timo ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you use the Timo mobile application (the "App").
By downloading or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Timo can be used without creating a full profile in some cases, but certain features may allow you to sign in with Apple to sync your preferences and subscription access across devices.
If you sign in, we may receive limited account information such as your Apple account identifier, display name, and email address or private relay email.
If you contact us directly, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and message content.
1.2 App Usage and Preferences
When you use the App, we may collect information needed to provide Timo's core features, including:
- Session activity, history, and completion details
- Habit preferences, goals, and selected settings
- App blocking and limit configuration data
- General app interaction and diagnostic information
1.3 Screen Time and Device Permissions
Timo may request access to Apple Screen Time and Family Controls permissions so it can help manage app blocking, website restrictions, and category limits that you configure.
Timo uses this access only to provide the features you enable. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
1.4 Subscription and Purchase Information
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
We do not collect or store your payment card or billing details.
To manage subscriptions and entitlements, Timo uses RevenueCat, a third-party service that processes purchase receipts and subscription status. RevenueCat may collect anonymous user identifiers, purchase state, and transaction metadata required for validation.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and operate the App
- Enable guided sessions, limits, blocking, and habit support features
- Sync your preferences and account data across devices when you sign in
- Enable and manage subscription access
- Improve app functionality, reliability, and user experience
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations
3. Third-Party Services
Timo may use the following third-party services to operate core features:
- Apple Sign in and Apple In-App Purchase services
- RevenueCat for subscription management and entitlement validation
- Supabase for account authentication and secure syncing of supported app data
These services may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data Sharing
We may share limited information with service providers only as needed to operate, maintain, and improve Timo.
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as needed to provide the App, support your account and subscriptions, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
If you stop using the App or remove it from your device, some locally stored data may no longer be accessible to you. Synced account data may remain in our systems until deleted or no longer needed for legitimate business or legal purposes.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain data.
You can also manage many permissions directly on your device, including notifications, Screen Time access, and subscription settings through Apple.
7. Children's Privacy
Timo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8. International Data Transfers
Third-party providers may process data on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable law.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information connected with the App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
