Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 2026
Timo ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to handling information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you use the Timo mobile application (the "App").
By downloading or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and Identity Information
Timo may allow you to sign in with Apple so your subscription access and supported app data can be associated with your account. If you sign in with Apple, we may process your Apple account identifier, display name, email address, or Apple private relay email address, depending on what Apple provides and what you choose to share.
Timo uses Supabase for authentication and syncing supported account data. Supabase may process account identifiers, profile information, and the synced app data described in this policy.
If you contact us directly, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and message content.
1.2 App Preferences, Sessions, and Usage Data
When you use Timo, we may collect or sync information needed to provide the App's core features, including user-configured preferences, selected categories, goals, limits, app blocking settings, onboarding choices, and session history.
Session history may include the session category, intention or reason text entered by you, start and end times, planned duration, actual duration, completion status, and extension or restart information.
Some app access settings may be stored or synced as summaries, such as the number of selected apps or websites. We do not use this synced data to create advertising profiles, and this policy should not be read as a claim that Timo syncs exact third-party app names or full Screen Time reports.
1.3 Screen Time, Family Controls, and Device Permissions
Timo may request access to Apple Screen Time and Family Controls permissions so it can lock selected apps and websites, support session access rules, apply limits, and show activity reports that you enable.
Timo uses Screen Time and Family Controls access only to provide user-enabled features. Timo does not sell Screen Time-related data and does not use Screen Time data for advertising.
Timo may also request notification permission so it can send session, usage, and limit reminders that you enable.
1.4 Subscription and Purchase Information
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
Apple handles payment processing. Timo does not collect or store your payment card or billing details.
To manage subscriptions and entitlements, Timo uses RevenueCat, a third-party service that processes purchase receipts, entitlement status, subscription status, transaction metadata, and anonymous or account-linked app user identifiers required for validation and access management.
1.5 Product Analytics and Diagnostics
Timo uses Mixpanel for product analytics. Mixpanel may process app interaction events, feature usage, subscription and account status properties, permission status properties, and diagnostic-style product analytics that help us understand and improve the App.
Analytics events may include information such as onboarding progress, session start or end events, session category, planned duration, extension events, paywall events, sign-in method, notification permission status, and whether Screen Time access is authorized.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use Screen Time data for advertising.

These services may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data Sharing
We may share limited information with service providers only as needed to operate, maintain, analyze, and improve Timo.
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Local and App-Group Storage
Timo may store information locally on your device and in app-group storage used by the App and related system extensions. This may include preferences, session state, settings, selected access rules, and other information needed for blocking, sessions, notifications, and activity-related features to work.
6. Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as needed to provide the App, support your account and subscriptions, resolve disputes, improve the App, and comply with legal obligations.
If you stop using the App or remove it from your device, some locally stored data may no longer be accessible to you. Synced account data may remain in our systems until deleted or no longer needed for legitimate business or legal purposes.
7. Your Rights, Choices, and Deletion
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain data.
You can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us at [email protected].
If you are signed in, Timo may also provide an in-app option to delete account data from the device and supported cloud storage. This process may not remove every record that must be retained for legal, security, subscription, or operational reasons.
You can manage many permissions directly on your device, including notifications, Screen Time access, and subscription settings through Apple.
8. Children's Privacy
Timo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
9. International Data Transfers
Third-party providers may process data on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable law.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information connected with the App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
